  • Computer Science Department was established in 1991
  • Till date 27 batches came out successfully with and every year about 5-6 students got a place in the merit list of the D.A.V.V.
  • R.M. Patel, Prof. C.C. Patel, Prof. S.P. Bhindwale and Prof Mayur Mota contributed to guide the destiny of the department.
  • There are well furnished and well equipped laboratories for undergraduate classes.
  • Departmental has library for Staff, having more than 100 books for immediate reference.
  • The department has total Seven number of distinguished and experienced faculty members.
  • The department has taken initiative in the revision of syllabus at under graduate level.
  • Staff of department has prepared a guide line of many practical at undergraduate level.
  • To start with we have expert lectures of renowned professors on important topics, related with the syllabus.
  • Department manages progress report card of each student for future references.
  • Department is having three laboratories, having all required H/W and resouces with network and internet facility.

Information Technology subject was introduced during 2004-05.

  • B.Sc. Computer science Pass Course (1991) with intake capacity of 210 students.
  • B.Sc. Computer science Hon’s Course (1996) with intake capacity of 60 students.
  • Sc. Information Technology (2002) with intake capacity of 60 students

DEPARTMENT CONTRIBUTION AT COLLEGE LEVEL

  • Department organizes 10 Days computer workshop on office automation (06-05-2000 to 15-05-2000). All the Teachers of Arts, Science and Commerce College have attended the workshop in Two respective batches in the morning session of 8 to 9 am and 9 to 10 am.
  • Department also organizes 15 Days the same workshop for class three employees of Arts, Science and Commerce college. (24-04-2001 to 12-05-2001) 38 number of class three staff has attended the workshop
  • Under able guidance of Prof Mayur Mota, Department has successfully implemented semester strategy of DAVV during 2008.
  • Department organizes 4 weeks (1Month) college staff training (starting from 14th –January- 2013) for Teaching and Non Teaching staff. This training provides the fundamental knowledge about followings:-
  • Ms Windows
  • Basic concepts about Windows operating system
  • Ms-Office
  • Ms Word, Ms Excel, Ms Power point
  • Basic Knowledge of Internet
  • Creating E-Mail Account, Accessing E-Mail,Uploading, Downloading and Attachment File, Dealing with College, DAVV University and Higher Educational Website.
  • This Training conduct into Two respective batches one for Teachers and another for Non Teaching .
  • Developed computer lab for MCA College.
  • Internet training given to all college students 2005.
  • Data collection for computerization of various institutes of Shri Gujarati Samaj.
  • Payroll management system in excel developed by R. Shah and is used in Account Office for last four years.
  • Provided M/C to Police Station and Collector Office for Elections many times.
  • Department has initiated to design and print Quarterly newsletter ‘Perihelion’
  • Prof Sanjay Sharma was Principal Representative during academic session 2017-18
  • Prof Govind Kaithwas working as NSS Officer
  • Prof Brajesh Vijaypuriya working as caretaker NCC infantry unit
  • Prof Sanjay Sharma was convener of Online admission committee from 2013 to 2018
  • Department regularly contributing in Faculty feedback by collecting and analyzing it’s data.
  • Department is running a website for student learning perspective.
  • Department also organized workshop and conferences with various IT tycoons
  • Department has set online policies for conducting lectures live.

Department Contribution At University Level

  • Prof Mayur Mota was the member of Board of Studies in Computer Science and Electronics for a period of three years and upgraded the syllabus of B.Sc and B.C.A.]Courses etc. in the year 1996 to 1999.
  • All Teachers of the Department are actively involved in University Examination, and evaluation of answer books since many years.
  • All teachers of Department are actively involved in conducting practical exam of University at various colleges of Indore and nearby and also involved in setting examination papers.
  • Professor M. Mota was appointed as team manager by University for Interuniversity Women’s Volley Ball Tournament organized by University of Kerla at Calicut in the year 2004-05.
  • Teachers of the Department is also contributing Paper Setting, Moderation, Evaluation work for other University of M.P. like M.P. Bhoj University, Makhanlal Open University, Sagar University, Barkatullah University, Bhopal etc.
  • Prof Sanjay Sharma is the member of Board of Studies in Computer Science and Information Technology Engineering for a period of three years.
  • Prof Brajesh Vijaypuriya was appointed DAVV sports team manager during academic session 2017-18.

  • Capacity to accommodate 70 students at a time.

  • This Lab. is mainly for Computer Science Honors Course students.

  • Lab area is 20*30 = 600 sq.ft. in size.
  • Comprises of 2 quantities of 1.5 tones A.C. with fall ceiling to make cooling effect more effective.
  • Equipped with Over Head Projector with screen.

  • Capacity to accommodate 40 students at a time.

  • Students are expected to attend the different workshops, training sessions etc. that are arranged from time to time.
  • We have a ZERO-Tolerance policy against Ragging. Strict action will be taken against any student found indulging in Ragging.
  • Students are required to carry their ID cards at all times whenever they come to college. Admission inside the college premises will be allowed only on production of valid ID card.
  • The Computer Lab have own rules. Students are expected to comply with the same.
  • The college premises are a 100% no tobacco zone and students are requested to comply with the same.
